Based on the information presented about the four candidates, I would hire Jyoti, who is currently a manager of a retail store. The vacant position in my firm requires someone who can start working right away and help to make the fiber product compete effectively in the market. Additionally, sales should improve in the short-term since they are currently at their lowest levels. My choice for the hire is based on the fact hat Jyoti, in his previous firm, led a team of salespersons to improve revenues by 60%. Although he was involved in training the personnel, it appears that he would be the right candidate to improve the sales of my company.

According to course readings, I am aware of the fact that experience and passion for working at new levels of the business world are critical in recruiting workers (Harvey & Allard, 2012). Thus, I am further compelled to choose the candidate since he states that he a passion for expanding into corporate sales. His assertion is on the grounds that he has mastered techniques in sales, and he has a firm foundation regarding what clients want from their cellular service. The position requires frequent travelling and spending leisure time with customers. Jyoti puts it so clear that he is not married. Thus, he would be travelling and working long hours to meet sales target of the firm. To make my decision, I have applied several concepts from the readings. For example, I have factored in the issue of diversity in the workplace, a decision that was influenced by the course readings (Carr-Ruffino, 2006).

From the expression of the preferred candidate, it appears that he would have not diversity issues when hired, unlike the one who has said that he is keen on learning English. In addition, I have considered the matter of training, which is a key matter in recruitment (Harvey & Allard, 2012). It appears that Jyoti would not need training due to the fact that he has been training salespersons in his previous company.
