Contrast between Servant and Spiritual Leadership
In servant leadership, self-interest of leaders is put aside for the leader to let the followers benefit by following their interest while leading. The leader concentrates on what the followers want and then makes decision based on their suggestions and thoughts. On the other hand, spiritual leadership a set of standards or ethics are used by the leader to inspire the followers. The leader uses intrinsic motivation through faith and hope to make the followers believe on the strategies used in guiding them (Freeman, 2011).

Servant leadership revolves around development and growth of the followers. This is because they are very influential in the course of action that takes place. Spiritual leadership relies entirely on the leader to make all decisions through the guidance of divine forces. The contact between the leader and the followers only occurs when the leader instigates the resolutions acquired from divine intervention to the followers (Freeman, 2011).
