Norman Foster is a famous British architect, known mostly for his innovation and eco-friendly design schemes. In the span of his career, he and his partners have completed hundreds of noteworthy projects, spanning from airports and museums, to bridges and furniture (Zukowsky, 2017). One of the most well-known projects created by Norman Foster is called the Millau Viaduct, currently the tallest bridge in the world. Interestingly, this French structure even surpassed the total elevation of the Eiffel Tower (Foster and Partners, 2017).

The most captivating aspect of Norman Foster’s works involve his overall design scheme. Foster has been documented in multiple occasions to have a strong focus on eco-friendly factors in the composition of his structures. In addition to his bridges, he is well known for creating designs such as those for the London city hall, the Reichstag Building of Germany, and the Torre de Collserola of Barcelona (Smith 2017). Additionally, his innovation is captured well in his design of the Gherkin building of London (Biometric, 2017). This unique building, based on a hexagonal design, is both well-designed to handle the stresses of nature more easily that other skyscrapers, it is also known to have required significantly less steel mass than traditionally designed structures of similar size (Slideshare, 2017).
