Why Do You Want a Career in Retail Management?

289 words | 1 page(s)

As I plot the course of my future career, there are two primary reasons why I want a career in retail management. First, I have shown, through my experiences early in my career, that this is a field in which I show great competence. In addition, hunting and the outdoors are passions of mine, so the opportunity to help and work with fellow outdoorsmen is a very attractive idea for me.

During my time with my company, I have been recognized for my hard work and skill in retail management. This is why, after less than a year on the job, I was promoted to team lead, being put in charge of hunting. The goal for any person when pursuing a career should be to choose one where your skills will be magnified. Retail management brings out the best in my talent, and when I am working, I feel highly confident that I can get the job done. As I move further into my career and gain more education, I am convinced that my confidence in this role will only grow.

In addition, hunting and the outdoors have always been passions of mine. Since I time I was a little kid, I enjoyed the gear used to get involved in hunting and the outdoors. I like to see the excitement in customers’ faces when they find that new piece of hunting or outdoors apparel to make their trips that much better. This passion drives me in my quest for a better career, and it gives me the capacity to connect with customers. Retail management will provide me with a perfect means of meshing my career with my passions, and that is something that I have always wanted for myself.
